Just prior to joining KNRI, Dr. Manion was recognized by the American College of Radiology receiving the highly coveted Breast Center of Excellence Award. Currently serving as Medical Director of Women’s Imaging for the Kettering Breast Evaluation Centers and KNRI, Dr. Manion is driving her team and imaging centers to attain national recognition as Centers of Excellence. Dr. Manion’s experience in all modalities including nuclear anatomic and physiologic imaging (Positron Emission Mammography and Breast Specific Gamma Imaging) greatly enhances the scope of our practice.
Through expansion of services, the addition of more cutting edge imaging procedures, a Women’s Imaging Fellowship Program and raising awareness the objectives to become a Center of Excellence are well within our reach with Dr. Manion leading the charge
Greene Memorial Hospital
Women’s Imaging will continue to be a strong focus for Greene Memorial Hospital. Sheila Manion,MD, KNRI’s director of Women’s Imaging will be assisting Dr. Caccamo in this endeavor. Dr. Manion is enthusiastic about the availability of Breast Specific Gamma Imaging (BSGI) and looks forward to adding this technology to the Women’s Imaging program for the Network

Breast Imaging Fellowship Program
Sponsored by KNRI and in partnership with Kettering Hospital & Medical Center a part of the Kettering Health Network we are pleased to announce a Fellowship Program in Breast Imaging.
Sheila Manion,M.D., Medical Director of Kettering Breast Evaluation Center will also be the Clinical Director of the Breast Imaging Fellowship Program.
Applications for Breast Imaging Fellows for academic years 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 are now being accepted. The one year fellowship comprises of breast imaging in Kettering’s dedicated breast center Kettering Breast Evaluation Center and follows recommendations outlined by the Society of Breast Imaging. The fellowship will provide training in all aspects of breast imaging and interventional procedures. The KHN Breast Imaging Section performs procedures and reads for a large hospital network, including three state-of-the-art centers in Dayton, Ohio, performing over 40,000 examinations each year. Rotations in general surgery, plastic surgery, radiation oncology, and pathology will also be a part of the fellowship experience. The fellow will have the opportunity to participate in bi-weekly breast conferences and other educational activities.
The Breast Imaging fellow should be a proactive, self-motivated individual. Application requirements include successful completion of an American Osteopathic Association or Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education approved residency in Diagnostic Radiology. Fellows must be board eligible/board certified prior to starting the fellowship program. Eligible candidates must also obtain an Ohio medical license and meet all other hospital requirements before starting the program
